The Living Earth
A 7- Night Journey of Yoga, Culture, and Adventure on the Big Island of Hawai’i
April 20 - 27 2027 Hawi, Hawai’i
There is a difference between visiting a place and letting the land change you.
We named this journey The Living Earth because the Big Island isn't a postcard. It is a conscious, breathing entity. From the raw, active creation energy of the volcano to the deep mana held in the stones of our sanctuary at Ahu Pōhaku Ho‘omaluhia, this land demands that we slow down, pay attention, and listen.
This retreat is an invitation to experience Hawaiʻi from the inside out.
Instead of just scratching the surface, we will move with the rhythm of the island. We will ground our spirits in daily yoga, connect directly with the ocean and hike down into the wild, windward energy of Pololū Valley.
Interwoven through it all is the real medicine: anchoring ourselves in the living culture of this sacred place. We will gather together to learn the traditional protocols of lei making, step into the foundational storytelling, rhythm, and movement of hula, learn of the safe haven Pu’uhonua O Honaunau and so much more.
Come step onto the land with reverence, move your body, and remember what it feels like to be part of the living earth.
Where you'll stay ...
Where you'll stay ...
Ahu Pōhaku Ho’omaluhia
The cliffside sanctuary is designed around the principles of eco-luxury by blending high end comfort with an open air connection to the island. To fully immerse you in the rhythm of nature, these beautiful spaces are cooled entirely by the natural ocean trade winds, allowing you to fall asleep to the sound of the waves and wake up to the fresh Pacific air.
Our home for the week is an intentional, off-grid eco-wellness sanctuary tucked away on 50 private acres of dramatic, windswept cliffs along the historic North Kohala coast. The name Ahu Pōhaku Ho’omaluhia translates to "a peaceful refuge," and from the moment you step onto the land, you will understand why.
This is not a conventional, hermetically sealed tourist resort. It is a living, breathing sanctuary designed to strip away the noise of the modern world and return you to the rhythms of the earth. The estate runs entirely on solar and wind power, and majority of our meals are harvested directly from the property’s organic permaculture orchards, gardens, and resident goat dairy.
Here, true luxury means space, silence, and presence. There are no televisions to distract you and no artificial air conditioning. Instead, the architecture is designed to blur the line between indoor comfort and the wild Hawaiian elements, letting the crisp Pacific trade winds naturally cool your room. During your stay, you will have exclusive access to a solar-heated saltwater infinity pool, an open-air oceanfront yoga shala, a private media library, and wild coastal hiking trails leading down to a secluded, rocky ocean cove. It is the ultimate container to unplug, move your body, and deeply restore.

These larger, self contained sanctuaries feature a dining area, a mini kitchen for late night tea, and a spacious bathroom featuring beautiful soaking tubs.
Raw and wild. There is nothing between you and the elements. You can open up your double-doors to let the trade winds sweep through the room, fall asleep directly to the crash of the ocean below, and watch the sun rise over the Pacific right from your bed.
Suite Sanctuary

What We'll Do...
What We'll Do...
Pu’u o Honaunau
We will walk the sacred, sandy grounds of the ancient City of Refuge. For hundreds of years, this site served as a sanctuary of peace, safety, and spiritual absolution. Surrounded by massive hand-carved kiʻi (wooden statues of gods) and the awe-inspiring 12-foot-tall Great Wall, we will quiet our minds, learn about ancient Hawaiian kapu (sacred laws), and absorb the immense mana (spiritual power) that still protects this peaceful coastline.
Pololū Valley Hike
We will descend into the rugged, emerald depths of the northernmost valley on the Kohala coast. This mildly strenuous, breathtaking hike winds down steep sea cliffs, offering panoramic views of offshore islets and dramatic ocean swells. At the valley floor, we will walk the majestic black sand beach, explore the quiet ironwood forest, and feel the raw, wild power of a landscape left completely untouched by time.
Snorkel Kealakekua Bay
We will board a spacious catamaran and sail down the calm Kona Coast to Kealakekua Bay, a protected marine life conservation district and home to the historic Captain Cook Monument. Renowned for having some of the clearest waters in the state, we will spend the morning snorkeling above healthy, vibrant coral reefs teeming with colorful tropical fish, green sea turtles, and friendly spinner dolphins.
Embody Hula
Hula is much more than a dance; it is a sacred, physical form of storytelling and a preservation of history. Guided by a local practitioner, we will participate in a private hula class. We will learn the foundational steps, the intentional movements of the hands, and the deep cultural connection between the rhythm of the body and the elements of the land.

The value of this retreat comes down to three things:
Zero Decision Fatigue: From the moment you land, your logistics are entirely handled. Your organic meals are chef-prepared, your private catamaran is booked, your permits for sacred sites are secured, and your group transport is waiting. You get to completely step out of "coordinator mode" and just receive.
Exclusive Sanctuary Space: We aren't crowding into a giant commercial resort with thousands of strangers. We have exclusive access to a private, 50-acre cliffside eco-sanctuary. The infinity pool, the oceanfront yoga shala, and the private coastal trails belong entirely to our small, intimate group for the week.
Intimate, Specialized Instruction: You aren’t just getting generic, crowded drop-in yoga classes. You are receiving daily, highly customized yoga sequencing, posture alignment adjustments, and somatic movement practices designed specifically for this group. Because our circle is small, you get the kind of high-proximity, individual attention and personalized guidance that you can only get in a private training environment.
True Insider Access: I was born and raised between O’ahu and the Big Island, and who better to travel with than a native? You aren't navigating Hawai’i as a standard tourist. You are experiencing it through the eyes of someone who knows the history, respects the culture, and understands the deep mana of the land. I have intentionally curated this itinerary to show you the true heart of my home.
You are paying for the massive amount of behind-the-scenes curation, the safety of an organized journey, and the lifelong tools you will take home. When you look at it as an investment in your long-term health, mental clarity, and peace of mind, the return on investment is priceless.
